  I was in Wllow Springs visiting my dad and search for a good restaurant where you could get steak & fish. The food was average but we tried some of their wines and fortified wines before sitting down to dinner and I have to say their wines are lovely. We found a wine we all agreed on for dinner and bought that bottle. I really enjoyed their fortified wines, definitely try those if you're going here.

  My husband and I decided to try Lane's for date night. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was awful!! I ordered the only steak they had on the menu, a ribeye. (I guess that qualifies them to call themselves a steakhouse.) My husband ordered grilled shrimp and flounder with Cajun seasoning. It was a bowl with a small piece of flounder smothered in butter hidden by the popcorn shrimp on top, dowsed in what they call Cajun seasoning which was no more than the same season salt they use to top fries at Bojangles. Underneath was plain, no seasoning. He smothered the shrimp in cocktail sauce and choked it down but could not eat the flounder at all. He said the whole thing tasted as if it were microwaved and never touched a grill. Both meals tasted as if they had bought it frozen from the local grocery store chain down the street, again very low quality, not fresh. We actually save and budget for date night once a month and we would have been much better off staying home and saving that $50! Very disappointing! Go somewhere else.
